Jennifer Peterson | Assistant Coach
UNC Asheville volleyball head coach Frederico Santos recently announced the addition of Jennifer Peterson as an assistant coach.
"I am pleased to have Jennifer Peterson added to the volleyball program,” Santos said. “She brings a wealth of experience to the program as a coach in the area for 16 years, but also as a former member of the UNC Asheville volleyball team and an alum.”
Jennifer Baker Peterson earned numerous accolades during her playing career. She was a two-time Big South All-Academic selection (1998 and 1999). Peterson garnered Big South All-Conference and All-Tournament honors in 1999.
Since graduating from UNC Asheville in 2000, she has worked the past 16 years with the Biltmore Volleyball Academy. She is also a former assistant coach at Mars Hill.
Peterson also has extensive high school head coaching experience at North Buncombe High School, Asheville School and North Henderson High School.
“I am very excited to be coaching at my alma matter and have the opportunity to coach with Coach Santos,” Peterson said. “I am thankful to Janet R. Cone for this opportunity as well. I had a tremendous experience as a student-athlete at UNC Asheville and hope to bring my passion and knowledge to help further the great tradition of volleyball at Asheville.”
